Business brief: New Mexico’s first Cabela’s opens

Cabela’s celebrated the grand opening of its first New Mexico store Sept. 21 in Albuquerque. The grand opening lasted all weekend and featured a Cabela’s Outdoor Fund grant presentation to Bernalillo County 4-H shooting sports and a live performance by Lucas Hoge, country music artist and Cabela’s “ambassador.” The 70,000-square-foot store is located at 5151 Lang Ave. NE in the Legacy at Journal Center development near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Paseo del Norte.
Civitas and Titan Development to Open New Assisted Living and Memory Care

Civitas Senior Living, a Texas-based senior living management and consulting company, has been awarded the managing contract for Élan Manatee, a 95-bed assisted living and memory care senior community in Bradenton, Florida. The community is being developed by Titan Development and is scheduled to begin construction in October 2017. Civitas founder and CEO Wayne Powell said Titan’s resident-centered approach makes the agreement a perfect fit for all involved.
Titan continues expansion in Journal Center

Titan Development is continuing its expansion in the Journal Center area with the purchase of the Courtyard Marriott along Jefferson NE. The Marriott adjoins Titan’s Legacy @ Journal Center Development, a retail development under construction by Titan.
Titan Development will build Hutto’s largest business park

Titan Development plans to start building a 2½ million square-foot project called Innovation Business Park within the next year. Hutto is expected to reap around $45 million in development fees and property taxes from the project over a 15-year period, officials said.
Neighborhood Association Considers Extra Space Self-Storage Development in Rio Rancho, NM

A neighborhood association is closer to approving a self-storage development in Rio Rancho, N.M. The River’s Edge One Neighborhood Association (REONA) voted last week in favor of commercial plans submitted by Titan Development to build an Extra Space Storage facility. If approved, the project will be the operator’s first location in the city, according to the source.
Titan Development breaks ground on new complex

Construction is already underway on Titan Development’s apartment project in the Northeast Heights. Located on Modesto Avenue between San Mateo Boulevard and Interstate 25, the apartment complex will have 226 units on a 10-acre site. The complex will be 250,000 square feet, according to Josh Rogers, Titan Development manager.
Highlands project near Pres has high-end ambitions

The development team behind The Highlands, a $95 million mixed-use development north of Central Avenue near Presbyterian Hospital, said the once-blighted area will be transformed into a transit-oriented village with apartments fetching some of the city’s highest rents, a Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel, multiple retail establishments and a food hall on par with those in larger cities.

The city’s Planning Commission approved phase two of The Highlands project, which includes a mixed-use, multifamily community with ground-floor retail and the Marriott Springhill Suites Highlands hotel.
